Pinuccio Lupini

Pinuccio Lupini was born in 1945 and began to learn the mechanic’s trade at the age of just eleven. In the 1960s he got himself a job at Lorenzo Bandini’s Grand Prix garage, which provided technical assistance to Ferrari.

He immediately fell in love with the Cavallino Rampante: Pinuccio set about learning the art of mechanics with passion and dedication day after day. His ability and talent did not go unnoticed, and he continued to hone his skills at the Crepaldi dealership until the 1970s. At Crepaldi he was able to work on the cars of Monzino, Moratti and Ignis’s Borghi, and he looked after all the Ferraris of the 250 GT, 275 GT, 330 GT and later series.

In 1973 Pinuccio Lupini embarked on his greatest professional venture, founding a company in Milan called Sportcar, an authorised Ferrari repair garage until 1989. His passion for Ferrari did not fade, but he also specialized in other luxury marques like Lamborghini, Jaguar, Maserati and Aston Martin: experiences that allowed Sportcar to acquire competence and reputation in the sector of vintage cars, so that it has now become a specialist in their restoration.

Pinuccio Lupini is a rarity in the field of restorers of Ferraris: he brings them back to their original state, repairs them or simply keeps them in perfect running order with a level of expertise that few can match. Lupini is the classic artisan mechanic whose reputation spreads by word of mouth. He has a clientele that he has been catering to for decades and which has expanded over time. Today it takes a couple of years on the waiting list before you can have access to his skilled and highly regarded services.
