Enzo Liverino

As a leading centre in the crafting of coral, Torre del Greco sets the scene for the success story of Vincenzo (Enzo) Liverino and the beauty of his creations.

Jewelry - Silversmithing - Goldsmithing

Heir to a long family tradition (the workshop was established in 1894), he is a craftsman who has brought smart modern design to the creation of coral jewellery while at the same time keeping a unique and precious local tradition alive and well. Alongside contemporary style jewellery, the workshop also produces magnificent sculptures of great wonder, such as his great nativity scenes sculpted in coral.

An expert craftsman of remarkable skill and business acumen (he has attained ISO 9001 quality certification), he also stands out for his scientific background. He was the only Italian representative at the first world coral congress in Kochi, Japan (1993) and spent ten years travelling back and forth between Naples and Taiwan, where he helped develop the criteria for selecting the raw material.

Training has always been a keystone for the family. Although the school founded by Liverino’s father has unfortunately closed, the workshop has opened one of the most prestigious coral museums in the world.

He is chairman of the coral committee of the CIBJO–The World Jewellery Confederation and a FAO consultant on world coral fishing.
